Daniele Sepe was born in 1960 and graduated In flute at the conservtory of Naples. At just 15 years old he recorded his first album with ‘E Zezi, Tammurriata dell’Alfasud. He immediately became passionate about any type of music, as long as it sounded “good”. Growing up in an era in which it was common to mix the most diverse genres, he embraced the saxophone and jazz, but convinced that the “mother dough” of all complex music is folk music, from Stravinsky to Joe Zawinul, he reworked many compositions of traditional origin. Galactic Syndicate offers a journey into the traditions and dialects of southern Italy, without forgetting fascinating worlds such as Grecanic or Arbresh.

A journey to the rural south, taken on dirt roads, in a van where the car radio also broadcasts songs by Miles Davis or Jimi Hendrix, apparently distant music, but which blends in with a surrounding panorama made up of work songs or popular dances.
